How It Works
- Visit participating Rogue Valley locations.
- Taste a donut or donut inspired item.
- Collect 5 punches on your punch card.
- Vote for the best donut item.
- Turn in your full punch card to be entered to win a prize.
This event benefits childhood hunger initiatives and supports veteran programs.
The idea is simple—participating businesses create a specialty donut or donut inspired item that is offered from June 5th through June 30th, and the proceeds from that donut are donated to The Salvation Army to help end childhood hunger and support local veterans through life-changing programs and services.
Customers will visit different shops, try the featured donuts, and collect punches on a card. Once they’ve visited at least five locations, they’ll vote for their favorite—so it creates a lot of fun competition and encourages people to visit multiple businesses.
We’ll also be promoting the Donut Challenge through social media and 6 local radio stations (KOOL 103.5, The Valley, KMED 106.3, KLDR 98.3, KRRM 94.7 and KDOV 91.7)
This is a GREAT way to bring in new customers and highlight your business in the community.
All we ask is that you:
Create a specialty donut for June
Donate the proceeds from that donut
Display some simple in-store materials we provide
And allow us to include your logo in promotions
At the end, we’ll award a Donut Challenge Trophy to the winning location!

This June, The Salvation Army is inviting local bakeries, donut shops, and restaurants to take part in a fun, community-driven Donut Challenge in celebration of
National Donut Day (June 5) through June 30!
The idea is simple: Create a specialty donut / donut inspired item available at your business during the month of June, with proceeds supporting life-changing programs that help end childhood hunger and support our local veterans through life changing programs and services.
Why donuts? The tradition dates back to the “Donut Lassies” of The Salvation Army, who served fresh donuts to soldiers on the front lines during World War I—bringing comfort, hope, and a taste of home. This campaign honors that legacy while making a real impact today.
How it works:
Customers visit participating locations and try featured donuts
They collect punches on a challenge card
After 5 stops, they vote for their favorite and enter to win a prize
The winning business earns bragging rights + a Donut Challenge Trophy
What we ask from you:
Create and sell a specialty donut / donut inspired item (June 5 – 30)
Donate the proceeds from that specialty donut to The Salvation Army
Display provided posters, punch cards & countertop red kettles
Help promote the challenge in-store
Approve use of your logo for campaign promotion
